6 and Jesse the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah's wife,
Observation:
The lineage of Christ is born out of adultery. God used the marriage between King David and Bathsheba to continue his chosen lineage.
Application:
It doesn't matter how big our stuff-ups are, if we confess our sins and give them to God he can and does use them for good.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to continually seek you in prayer, and to ask your forgiveness for my sins. God, thank you for your promise in Romans that you use all things for good. Thank you that you take my sins and my mistakes and make something good from them!
