SOAP - Matthew 5

Scripture: Matthew 5:21-22
21-22"You're familiar with the command to the ancients, 'Do not murder.' I'm telling you that anyone who is so much as angry with a brother or sister is guilty of murder. Carelessly call a brother 'idiot!' and you just might find yourself hauled into court. Thoughtlessly yell 'stupid!' at a sister and you are on the brink of hellfire. The simple moral fact is that words kill.

Observation
Our words are much more powerful than we often give them credit for. Words can corrupt a life and destroy a soul

Application
Watch what comes out of your mouth. Be edifying in your words, lift people up and don't bring them down.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for the power in the words that we use. Thank you that our words echo in the supernatural as well as the natural. Help me to use that power wisely, to edify, not to tear down. To speak positively and with a mind that my words have far reaching effects.

Preach it! Words mean so much and carry soooo much more weight than we realize. I totally agree with you!
