Scripture - Matthew 2:21-22
21-23 Joseph obeyed. He got up, took the child and his mother, and reentered Israel. When he heard, though, that Archelaus had succeeded his father, Herod, as king in Judea, he was afraid to go there. But then Joseph was directed in a dream to go to the hills of Galilee. On arrival, he settled in the village of Nazareth. This move was a fulfillment of the prophetic words, "He shall be called a Nazarene."
Observation:
Joseph obeyed, even though he was scared and knew the dangers, he trusted and obeyed God and God made sure it was all ok.
Application:
Trust God. He will speak in many different ways. I need to confirm it in the word and then act on it. It might scare the pants off me but God will guide and direct me, and if it is his will, He'll make it all work out.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to trust you. To trust that you will make your will plainly open to me when you need to, and even when I'm scared or unsure to know that you're looking after me. Thank you that you promise that you're with me when you say "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord"
